Agent K, originally Kevin Brown (born 1940), is one of the main protagonists of the Men in Black film series. A top agent and a founder of the Men in Black, he is a character who is extremely respected, and after working at MiB for over 40 years, he’s very stoic and shows nearly no emotion.

The next day, J goes to pick up K, but finds someone else living at his apartment. When he goes to M.I.B., he looks for K, but everyone there tells him, K died in 1969 after tackling with Boris.
Why did J pass the MIB test?
While he may not have the academic credentials of the other candidates, he demonstrates that he can undertake completely unfamiliar situations and use his “street” abilities to meet them in unexpected ways. So his actions did in fact cause him to pass the test then, it wasn’t just him being funny.

The Light was left at a safe place that the evil Serleena wanted to use to destroy Zartha. However, Serleena killed Lauranna, and Kay told Serleena that it was in a rocket leaving the Earth which Serleena chased for many years.
What happened to J and K in MIB?
MIB3 ends after a time travel expedition, in which J finds out that K met him as a child after J’s father died and that his father was killed by an alien right in front of K. K neuralyzes child J of that particular moment, and continues to be someone who watches over him.
