How to Unfreeze a Water Hose
Turn off the water supply for the hose you will be unfreezing. Determine the portion of the water hose that is frozen. Use a hair dryer to thaw out the hose. Wrap the hose with electric pipe heat tape. Detach the frozen hose, if possible, and move it to a warmer location.
What happens if your hose freezes?
When a hose freezes, the water inside expands, causing holes to develop, and ultimately weakening the hose’s lining. The damage can be even worse if the frozen garden hose is still connected to the house because it can lead to issues with the water pressure in the pipes and water lines.
