“Missing activity” means it couldn’t figure out where you were, or how fast you were traveling, well enough to fill in your timeline.
Users can edit the “location summary data”, ie places visited, moving – walking, driving etc. But AFAIK, google do not provide any method of editing the RAW DATA (shown as red dots on the map in a laptop browser, not accessible on mobile). You can DELETE the raw data, but you cannot change it or add to it.
