The Haflingers and Birkenstocks were the most expensive but were both very high quality construction. The Birkenstocks have a colder, harder leather/cork sole and open heel, so I chose the softer, wool-soled, closed-heeled Haflinger Grizzly for its warmth and slightly better looks.
