Can you use VA E-ZPass in other states?
E-ZPass transponders can be used on all toll roads with specially marked “E-ZPass” lanes. Can I use my MD E-ZPass in another car?
Yes, you may transfer a transponder between vehicles as long as they are of the same vehicle class. There are penalties for using a transponder in a different vehicle class (i.e. Car transponder in a tractor- trailer.) Please be sure that all vehicles using the transponder are listed on your EZ Pass account.
Can I go through E-ZPass without my transponder PA?
A: No. The E-ZPass antenna is located overhead, well in advance of the toll booth. If you do not have the transponder properly mounted as you pass the “read zone” then it may not work properly.
What happens if you don’t pay a toll in Massachusetts?
If someone does not pay their bill, the state can put a hold on the vehicle owners registration renewal. Drivers will be required to settle their toll bill before renewing.
How do I pay tolls in New Hampshire?
If it is within 7 days of your trip, you may make a payment by visiting and selecting Pay a Toll. If your trip was more than 7 days ago, you are unable to pay the toll until you receive a First Invoice in the mail.

Can I use my E-ZPass in a rental car VA?
Do not add rental car information to your E-ZPass account. However, you can use your E-ZPass Tag in any vehicle of the same class. Please ensure that your E-ZPass Tag is properly mounted as per installation instructions in all vehicles in which the Tag is used.
Will my E-ZPass work in Florida?
E-ZPass is a multi-state electronic toll pass that works in states from North Carolina to Maine and west to Illinois, and now in the entire state of Florida. If your transponder is part of the E-ZPass Group (I-PASS, RiverLink Portable, NC Quick Pass Portable), your toll pass is accepted on CFX roadways.

The toll pass issued by the commonwealth of Virginia is E-ZPass. Drivers using the E-ZPass can drive in E-ZPass toll lanes and use all-electronic toll roads. Additionally, drivers with a toll pass compatible with the E-ZPass can use their pass on toll roads in the commonwealth of Virginia.
