Use *67 to hide your phone number
On a per-call basis, you can’t beat *67 at hiding your number. This trick works for smartphones and landlines. The free process hides your number, which will show up on the other end as “Private” or “Blocked” when reading on caller ID.

You can also call 1-888-382-1222 from any phone you want on the list. That’s all it takes, and your number stays on the list until you ask for it to be removed or you give up the number. Once you sign up, the Do Not Call list takes you off for-profit business call lists, but it isn’t immediate.
How do I report a phone number that keeps calling?

Does * 66 still work?
If you have experience with landline phones, you might know that there’s a simple way to achieve this. It’s called “continuous redial,” and simply entering a code (*66) after a busy signal will tell the line to keep redialing each time a call fails. A simple three-presses of *86 then stops continuous redial.
Anonymous Call Rejection (*77) intercepts calls from people who have used a blocking feature to prevent their name or number from being provided to people they call. When Anonymous Call Rejection is activated, callers hear a message telling them to hang up, unblock delivery of their phone number and call again.

Does * 67 Still Work 2021?
If I dial *67 can I still get through if I’m blocked? Based on our tests in April of 2021 this still works. If you dial *67 then the recipients full ten digit phone number, your call will ring through. The recipient’s caller ID will say ‘Unknown Caller’ or something similar.
Can Star 67 be traced?
“As soon as the call is placed, it can be tracked and traced to where it is being originated.” Dialing *67 may cloak your call from other Caller ID-equipped phones, but not from your carrier or the authorities.
