contour button on cricut not working

Use Contour to choose which parts of the image to cut.

First, add an image to your Design Space Canvas. I chose this image of three flowers from the Cricut Access library. Even though these flowers aren’t overlapping, they’re still on the same layer. Then, select the Layer, and click Contour.

Why is my contour button grayed out?

The Contour button will be greyed out if multiple layers or multi-layer images are selected. Contour only works on images that contain more than one cut line. The Contour tool is designed to show or hide individual cut lines within a “complex” image or shape.

What does the flatten button do on Cricut?

When you use Flatten, Design Space combines the selected layers into a single printable image. Using Flatten tells Design Space that you want to print the whole image, and make just one cut around the exterior outline of the combined image.

What does Weld mean Cricut?

The Weld tool allows you to join shapes to create a single customized image by removing any overlapping cut lines. This can be a great way to simplify a design, keep the letters of a word connected, or combine shapes to create new designs.

Why can’t I flatten on Cricut?

You can’t flatten nothing; the Flatten button will be greyed out if no layers are selected. You can Flatten a single layer or multiple layers. Flatten converts an image from a Cut image to a Print image, leaving just an exterior cut line around the outside edge.
